Revolve debuts online beauty division
Online retailer Revolve has just launched its first foray into the beauty world. The online retailer, known for carrying California-style dresses, swimwear, and footwear, will be stocking a mix of cult-favorite and small-batch beauty brands in its new beauty division.
In a press release, Lauren Yerkes, Revolve’s Buying Director stated, “The launch of beauty is really exciting for us. We have built such a strong lifestyle for our customer that the natural progression was to add beauty to our roster. We wanted to offer her a range of product that can get her through her day, whether she is attending an event or going to the beach.”
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Smith &Cult, Bioderma, RMS Beauty, Marc Jacobs, Stila, ColourPop, and Alice + Olivia are just a few of the brands that will be stocked on Revolve’s new platform. Revolve will also carry several exclusive products, including a ColourPop lip kit and an exclusive partnership with Onomie.
The past two years have been a big push for the online retailer, with the brand bringing in over $400 million in sales last year and is set to reach $500 million this year.
In the summer, Revolve launched The Social Club, a members-only retail space in Los Angeles to test the retail waters for the brand. The retail experience and correlating events were only accessible to celebrities, fashion influencers, and top customers. Over the course of 2016, the brand has launched in-house brands.
The beauty shop launches on Friday on Revolve.com
