Rhode Resort rebrands as Rhode
Apr 12, 2019
Rhode Resort, the Los Angeles-based women's ready-to-wear brand famous for its colorful kaftans, has rebranded to simply, Rhode.
The brand, which currently boasts nearly fifty thousand followers on Instagram, gained a cult following for designs meant to capture the concept of the "complete vacation wardrobe, using luxe feel-good fabrics, sophisticated colors, and hand-crafted embellishments," according to the brand on its website.
Dropping the 'Resort' half of its name is part of a plan to shift the brand's image "from a resortwear label to a year-round ready-to-wear collection, appropriate for any destination" and more indicative of an expanded lifestyle brand, Rhode told Fashionista.
Rhode was first launched by co-founders Phoebe Vickers and Purna Khatau in 2014. Currently, the brand's dresses, tops, bottoms, and jumpsuits are available on e-retailers like MatchesFashion.com, Net-a-Porter and Farfetch, as well as via the brand's own e-commerce site and brick-and-mortar boutiques across the U.S. and overseas.
Rhode pieces range between $200 and $1,500.
