The Stamford, Connecticut-based men’s activewear brand has opened its third NYC location in the Flatiron District and is reportedly planning to expand to Boston with its next store.
Premium men’s activewear brand Rhone has opened its third NYC location in the Flatiron District and is reportedly planning to expand to Boston with its next store.
Located at 133 5th Avenue, New York, the brand’s new flagship measures 1,500 square feet. Customers to the store can shop Rhone’s full assortment, including its Commuter Collection, premium activewear, and technical pieces, which feature the brand’s proprietary GoldFusion technology.
As shown in photos posted to Rhone’s Instagram account, the space’s design features a modern aesthetic, blending metal and blonde wood for an effect that seeks to evoke a sense of movement. Designed in partnership with Virginia Maggiore of Retail Design Collaborative, the store features furniture from Herman Miller and Design Within Reach.
Rhone’s ongoing collaboration with home workout system Tonal is also present in the location, where visitors can test out the high-tech equipment. Beyond its physical fixtures, the store also aims to create a sense of community through a monthly run club.
According to a report from MR Magazine, Rhone’s next store opening will be at 174 Newbury Street, Boston, where the brand hopes to create an intimate shopping space featuring exposed brickwork and wood.
“Our focus has always been on how Rhone can add value and create a sense of community for our customers,” said Rhone co-founder and CEO Nate Checketts in a statement cited by MR. “With these two retail locations, we’re deepening our commitment to meeting customers where they are, establishing meaningful, in-person connections, and providing top-notch experiences.”
Founded in 2014, Rhone operates a further two stores in New York – at Hudson Yards and Midtown Manhattan – as well as a third location in its hometown of Stamford, Connecticut.
Rhone’s Flatiron flagship is now open and is following all local and state requirements relating to Covid-19.
