Rihanna's new visual autobiography was more than five years in the making

Rihanna is telling the story of her incredible life through pictures.
The singer, beauty mogul and fashion designer has announced the launch of "Rihanna," a book detailing her rise to fame via a series of more than 1,000 photographs.
"I am so excited to share this collection of incredible images," the Barbadian star said in a statement. "I'm very grateful to the talented photographers and artists who contributed. We've been working on the book for over five years and I'm really happy to be able to finally share it with everybody."
The book, which will be published by Phaidon, will make its debut on October 24. Weighing in at 15 pounds, it will include never-before-published images set over 504 pages, charting Rihanna's childhood in Barbados through to her worldwide music tours and world-famous fashion moments.
Phaidon and Rihanna have also collaborated with the US creative duo The Haas Brothers on various limited-edition versions of the tome, including 'This Sh*t is Heavy,' the Fenty x Phaidon edition, launching on October 10 and 'The Luxury Supreme' edition, launching on November 20.
An 'Ultra Luxury Supreme' edition entitled ‘Stoner,' which comes with one of 10 custom-sculpted marble pedestals hand carved from a piece of solid Pele de Tigre marble, designed to display the book, completes the lineup.

After rising to fame as a recording artist and songwriter, nine-time Grammy Award winner Rihanna has gone on to carve out wildly successful career paths in the realms of fashion and beauty.
She launched her much-lauded Fenty Beauty line in 2017, before rolling out a lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty, the following year. In May, she unveiled her latest major project: a luxury fashion line FENTY, created in partnership with the conglomerate LVMH.
