Buzzy secondhand store Round Two is expanding its retail footprint, announcing the opening of a New York City location, set to open this summer.

Round Two isn’t new to New York – the vintage retail store launched a pop-up in New York last year, which proved very successful, quickly gaining attention from both celebrities and the streetwear community.

At the recent New York pop-up, some of the items available for purchase were a $1200 North Face jacket, limited edition Nike jackets, and a limited-run Supreme box logo tee, valued at $650.

Round Two was first opened in Richmond, Virginia, launching a Los Angeles location soon after. The retailer offers a unique concept – instead of the usual vintage designer offerings, the store focuses on streetwear and rare sneakers.

While it may seem like a niche market, the luxury streetwear sector holds a huge market for reselling. Menswear reselling website Grailed has found huge success in the market, going from an online marketplace for reselling menswear to boasting separate sites for men's and women’s, as well as a New York retail pop-up in just a few years.

Elsewhere, sneaker resell site Goat, where users can self-sell their sneakers in a marketplace format, recently tapped $25 million in funding to expand the app and support new international growth.
