Rue Saint Paul opens New York pop-up
May 2, 2019
Rue Saint Paul, a Brooklyn-born women’s lifestyle shop focused on sustainability, has opened its second New York City pop-up at 320A Canal Street.
The shop opened its doors on May 1, and will run through May 30. Inside, visitors will find a curated, multi-brand collection of small-batch apparel, ethically sourced jewelry, beauty products and a variety of items made from sustainable materials. The pop-up’s theme, 'Fly Away with Me', pays homage to the cities around the world represented by the designers featured in the shop.
"We hope this pop-up will highlight creators who integrate beauty, sustainability, and kindness into their products,” said Kelly Wang, founder of Rue Saint Paul.
The Rue Saint Paul pop-up is part of the 'On Canal' initiative in lower Manhattan, a pop-up district designed to breathe life back into the empty storefronts of Canal Street. Launched in 2018, the project offers businesses, artists and start-ups, which otherwise could not afford the street’s high rents, to open temporary shops and hold events in the bustling area.
According to a press statement, the temporary Rue Saint Paul store will host exhibitions by local designers and artists throughout its run.
Rue Saint Paul opened its first New York pop-up earlier this year, setting up shop at Canal Street Market for the month of February.
