RYU launches new website
While RYU Apparel was focused on growing its retail network in 2018, it didn’t forget to work on its online strategy. The Canadian athletic brand officially re-launched its website at RYU.com last week with several improved features.
The Vancouver-based company worked on improving features like product display, search functionalities and the overall checkout process to ease the online purchasing procedure, as well as overall key content across all browsers on a mobile device, tablet and desktop.
What’s more, confirmation and post-purchase delivery emails also received a facelift to complement the complete online experience.
"By upgrading our online experience, we made a major step forward for our Company,” said Marcello Leone, CEO of RYU, in a news statement.
“We are now able to offer to our digital members the same inclusive experience that lives in our Brick & Mortar locations. This exciting new development continues to lay the foundations for the future digital growth of the company on a global scale."
After relaunching in November 2015, the company has been focused on growing its retail presence across North America.
It currently operates nine stores including six locations in Canada - four in Vancouver, and two in Toronto - and another three in the U.S. including in Los Angeles, Newport Beach, and in New York's Williamsburg.
It plans to open on average five stores a year for the next five years for a total of 29 stores by the end of 2022.
The company’s strategy has been successful with 11 consecutive quarters of growth. For the first nine months of 2018, revenue at RYU jumped 77 percent to $3.3 million.
