Like many other fashion houses, Saint Laurent is expanding into jewellery. Kering's Parisian label has announced the launch of its first "fine jewellery" line, featuring 18-carat gold, diamonds and other precious materials "carefully selected by Anthony Vaccarello," the brand said in a statement.

The collection includes rings, bracelets, cuffs, necklaces and earrings that play on the Maillon motif with chain links in various sizes, or the Cassandre motif with the famous logotype of intertwined YSL capitals.

The house describes the collection as "essential" and states that it is intended to be functional, with timeless designs that adapt to all seasons and trends. Prices range from 690 euros for a ring to 3,900 or 6,900 euros for various multi-chain bracelets, and up to 45,000 euros for an oversized chain bracelet in yellow gold.

The line is already available on the brand's online store. It will also available in the Saint Laurent Rive Droite and Saint-Germain-des-Prés boutiques in Paris, its Monaco and Saint-Tropez stores, as well as a selection of flagship stores around the world.

"Saint Laurent Fine Jewellery captures the forward-looking outlook and exacting Parisian excellence of the house," says the brand, which hired German photographer Juergen Teller to shoot the launch campaign.
