Aaron Duncan has been named chief marketing officer and creative director. Jeff Feldman will become chief sales and merchandising officer.

The hires signify how Sakroots is trying to venture into more lifestyle sales and marketing. Currently the brand group sells both Elliott Lucca footwear, and The Sak bags, boots and other worldly accessories for “the girl on the go.”

Sakroots draws its heritage from working with artists in a bohemian, peace loving world. It partners with various charities “that share in the belief of peace and harmony among all things.”

It practices what its brand promises, with the option for consumers to choose where they would like to make a charitable gift upon checking out online. Sakroots has pledged to match those gift contributions to help make the world a better place through its corporate existence.

Duncan comes from Mattel, Inc., where he led licensing and global soft line merchandising of brands like Barbie and Hot Wheels. Feldman has an extensive consumer product background with a focus on distribution.
