Saks Fifth Avenue announced Thursday its plans to open a new 21,000-square-foot jewelry and contemporary ready-to-wear concept in the Greenwich area, which already boasts two Saks stores.
The luxury retailer plans to expand the space dedicated to its already existing women’s designer ready-to-wear assortment at its current Saks location in downtown Greenwich. The upper level will see changes including increased space for vendor shops and a private fine jewelry viewing room.
“With three locations within easy walking distance of each other, I'm thrilled that we'll be able to serve our Greenwich customers better than ever before,” added Marc Metrick, President of Saks Fifth Avenue. “I am passionate about our core strategy of category dominance - providing a better, more authoritative assortment that allows Saks to be bigger than any one brand - and this additional space in Greenwich furthers our mission to do just that.”
In July, Saks announced that it will open in the fall of 2016 its first ever stand-alone shoe store in Greenwich called 10022-SHOE. The Jewelry and Contemporary RTW store and the 10022-SHOE store will both be in walking distance of the Saks Fifth Avenue location in Greenwich that has remained since 1997.
The new location is at 200 Greenwich Avenue.
