Sephora: Guillaume Motte appointed president and CEO of Sephora

The luxury group LVMH has just announced the appointment of Guillaume Motte as president and CEO of its selective perfumery brand Sephora. Guillaume Motte will take over from Chris de Lapuente, who also heads LVMH's selective distribution division, and who has held this position since last June, following the unexpected resignation of Martin Brok.

Guillaume Motte, deputy CEO of Fashion Group since May 2021, the LVMH division that brings together Celine, Givenchy, Loewe and Patou, is already familiar with the Sephora brand. Indeed from March 2018 to May 2021 he held the position of president Europe and Middle East of the beauty brand. Before joining the LVMH group, he was director of the men's fashion, Célio.

Sephora, which recently announced its return to the British market, has 2,650 stores in 35 countries, with a total of more than 35,000 employees, including about 6,000 in France. The AFP estimated Sephora's 2019 turnover at 10 billion euros.
