Sephora announced on Friday the opening of Canada's first-ever Beauty TIP Workshop concept store. The new store, located at the newly expanded Yorkdale Shopping Centre, is one of four stores in North America.

Short for 'Teach, Inspire, Play', the TIP concept store merges digital technology and services to school users on beauty techniques and products.

The Beauty TIP Workshop consists of an area for up to 10 clients to learn via group beauty classes led by Sephora experts. The area features iPad stations and large digital screens so clients can play, browse and share looks from their seat.

The store also features an expanded Beauty Studio which offers complimentary makeovers with larger stations. The new set-up includes 12 beauty studio seats, and Sephora + Pantone Color IQ touchscreens, with updated IQ technology including foundation, lip colour and concealer.

This September, the store will also welcome the Skincare Studio which offers skincare consultations. It will have a sink station and four seating areas for a new Mini Facial service.

The newly renovated store is 9,146 square feet and will feature brands such as Hourglass, Josie Maran, Kat Von D Beauty, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Bite Beauty, and more.
