Shiseido has recently appointed Nathalie Broussard to the newly created post of Scientific Communications Director EMEA. Formerly the Director of Scientific Communications and Training for dermatological laboratory SVR, Nathalie Broussard is tasked with the mission of bolstering the Japanese group's relationship with the science and technology community in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Broussard's mission is especially relevant for a brand like Shiseido, keen to promote "the alliance between art and science." Nathalie Broussard, who formerly worked for Nuxe, Vichy and Ducray, will report directly to Frédéric Charpentier, Shiseido's Director of International and Corporate Communications.  

This new appointment highlights the Japanese group's commitment to push Shiseido, currently fifth, up into the top three of the skincare market's regional ranking, as indicated in October 2016 by Louis Desazars, the President and CEO of Shiseido EMEA. In the EMEA region's consolidated ranking for the overall beauty market, Shiseido's objective is to rise to fifth place from its current eighth within five years.
