Shops at Stonefield Center receives U.S. Design & Development Award
The Shops at Stonefield shopping center in Charlottesville, VA, has received the International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ICSC) 2015 U.S. Design & Development Award. The award honors leading projects that represent design and development trends.
Stonefield, developed by EDENS in conjunction with Albermarle County, is the area’s first Neighborhood Model program, which supports pedestrian-friendly mixed-use developments. As winner of the New Developments category, the Shops at Stonefield will compete in the Council’s Global Design and Development Awards.
The International Council of Shopping Centers was established in 1957 as the global trade association of the shopping center industry. Its mission is to advance the shopping center industry via education, publications, professional certification programs and awards. It currently has more than 70,000 members in over 100 countries.
