Snoopy fashion exhibit features looks by Anna Sui, Isabel Marant, Levi's

"Snoopy & Belle in Fashion" is the name of an international traveling exhibition featuring custom looks created by over 40 top designers for 12" tall vinyl Snoopy and Belle characters.

The exhibition lands next at Brookfield Place New York to celebrate New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Designers who created looks for the characters include Oscar de la Renta, DKNY and Calvin Klein Collection.

Diane Von Furstenberg made her smallest wrap dress ever for Belle, Snoopy's sister who lives in Paris. Betsey Johnson created an 80s-inspired punk rock look for the doll complete with pink hair.

Costume designer Colleen Atwood made character looks for Snoopy and Belle from films where she did wardrobe including the Mad Hatter from Alice and Wonderland and a Geisha girl from Memoirs of a Geisha. Hamilton Tony-award-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell made miniature version of his Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler Hamilton costumes for Snoopy and Belle.

The list of designers who have contributed looks for Snoopy and Belle is exhaustive. Major labels and brands include Christian Siriano, Dries Van Noten, DSquared2, Emanuel Ungaro, Isaac Mizrahi, Isabel Marant, J. Mendel, Kenneth Cole, MAC Cosmetics, Opening Ceremony, Philip Treacy, Rachel Zoe, Rodarte, Swarovski, Tokidoki, Tracy Reese, William Rast, and Zac Posen.

Jeannie Schulz, widow of Charles M. Schulz, will lead a private tour of the costume exhibit on September 7th. The exhibit will next open to the public in NY at the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place. It will run from Friday, September 8 through Sunday, October 1, 2017.
