Sole Society, a lifestyle brand of women’s shoes, bags and accessories, this week announced its $8 million Series B funding from Nordstrom and Insight Venture Partners, and executive appointments in the company.
Founding member and former COO, Andy Solomon, has been promoted to CEO, and two new members, Louisa Chen and Marly Dreis, joined the company as CFO and Vice President of Marketing, respectively.
"This funding, along with our new leadership team, positions our brand for healthy growth over the next 12-to-18 months and beyond," said Solomon. "We look forward to delivering great product for our customers and significantly increasing brand awareness by expanding the places our customers can find Sole Society shoes, handbags and accessories."
Solomon has been a major player for the company by producing consistent annual growth. Chen has over 10 years of experience in investment banking and leadership at Guggenheim, Barclays and Lehman Brothers. Dress served at companies such as Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein and Armani Exchange before landing her most recent role as Brand Strategy Director at Nordstrom.
Launched in 2011, Sole Society is available on its website, at Nordstrom stores in the US and online, on QVC and QVC.com, and select retailers nationwide.
