Sole Tech appoints new president

Orange County-based Sole Technologies announced Esmail Mawjee as its new president.

Sole Tech manufacturers apparel and footwear for many known action sports brands including Etnies, ThirtyTwo, eS and Emerica.

Mawjee came from Active Ride Shop where he was president. At Active Ride Shop he led brand operations including ecommerce and retail.

Pierre-Andre Senizergues, founder and CEO of Sole Technology said of the appointment, "With a fast evolving retail environment, we feel confident that Esmail’s insights and deep experience in the industry will help guide and direct our planning process, as well as support our teams in the strong implementation of our brand strategies as we move into 2017."

In his role as Sole Tech's president, Mawjee will drive the company's strategy forward focusing on meeting consumer demands in a more dynamic marketplace. He will manage all operations and report direct into Senizergues.

Mawjee said of his new position, "Over the years, I have enjoyed working with the team at Sole Technology. I admire the company’s purpose and values of inspiring youth through offering a portfolio of unique and authentic brands – an extremely precious asset to have in our industry today. I look forward to what the future holds as we work together to strengthen Sole Technology."

In Mawjee's new role, he will directly oversee the heads of product, sales, marketing, hr, ops and finance.
