Activewear and cycling company SoulCycle co-founders Julie Rice and Elizabeth Cutler resigned as the company’s chief creative officers to pursue other new projects. They will both continue to serve on the company’s board to help guide it to long-term success.
This July, SoulCycle filed to go public, and Cutler and Rice each received a nearly $90 million, although Equinox owns a 97% stake in the company. The IPO is reportedly still moving forward.
Headquartered in New York City, SoulCycle was co-founded by Julie Rice, Elizabeth Cutler and Ruth Zukerman (who left the company and founded Flywheel Sports) in 2006. The company offers cycling classes and has developed its own apparel brand.
