Spanish womenswear brand Naulover has set its eyes on Chinese, Middle Eastern and American markets as it looks to drive further brand growth beyond Europe.

The Barcelona-based brand has signed an agreement with a Chinese distributor to hit the Asian country, where it will be stocked in both multi-brand stores and in shop-in-shops at department stores, said Naulover’s CEO Carme Noguera to Europa Press.

The brand is also currently negotiating a deal with a South Korean distributor, who is in the process of finding retailers interested in selling Naulover.

Additionally, a store in Dubai is scheduled to launch at the beginning of April, where Naulover will share the space with another Spanish fashion label. Further points of sale are expected to be added via multi-brand stores.

America and Europe

Naulover’s expansion push also includes the Canadian and Mexican markets, where it is already in contact with department stores to launch shop-in-shops. Meanwhile in Europe, the brand aims at focussing primarily on strengthening its presence in Italy, its top export market.

Exports of Naulover designs account for 25% of its turnover, which grew by 5% in 2015 to reach 20 million euros. The company’s founders expect a similar growth for this year.

In Spain, the brand that specialises in knitwear, has a standalone store in Barcelona and an outlet in Igualda, while a further outlet store will be added in Neinver’s new Villadecans scheme. Naulover is also stocked in 90 shop-in-shops within El Corte Inglés, and is available in 400 multi-brand retailers.
