Ssense launches mobile app
Canadian luxury clothing retailer Ssense launched on Tuesday its first mobile app, now available globally for iOS devices.
Created entirely by its in-house technical and design team, the Ssense app promises a hyper-personalized shopping experience that allows customers to intuitively explore over 40,000 items and 500 brands for men and women.
The app's homepage is tailored to the user, with product recommendations made based on user preferences and shopping history. Recommendations are expected to improve for each user the more the app is used.
What’s more, enhanced filtering options allow users to shop more personally by size, designer, and category.
Meanwhile, intuitive design was also taken into consideration with the app being responsive to all the usual swipes, taps, and pinches users are innately accustomed to, considering 80 percent of its audience falls between the ages of 18 to 34 years old.
The app adopts a continuous scroll on the product landing pages and enhanced product description pages where 70 percent of the page is dedicated to the image.
The Montreal-based company, founded in 2003, said “the streamlined visual identity was intended to remove any obstacle for customer discovery and encourage exploration.”
Ssense carries a mix of luxury, streetwear, and avant-garde labels like Off-White and Vetements.
It currently services 150 countries, generates an average of 76 million monthly page views, and has achieved high double-digit annual growth since its inception.
The app is now available to download via the Apple App store in English, French, Japanese, and Mandarin.
