Stella McCartney will be the guest of honor at 2016 Kering Talk

The annual Kering Talk is set to place next week in London. The talk is hosted in partnership with the London College of Fashion. This year’s guest of honor is British fashion designer Stella McCartney.

The Kering talk is an annual lecture hosted by the luxury goods company for fashion industry professionals, fashion students, and industry journalists.

McCartney has been at the forefront of the sustainability conversation since her brand's launch in 2001. The British designer is dedicated to creating pieces that protect the environment as much as possible. All Stella McCartney line's garments are made using low-impact dyes and organically-sourced cotton and production methods that comply with ethical standards. McCartney is also an activist for animal welfare and is known for her animal-free mandate as one of the industry's leading designers. 

Continuing on the sustainability theme of Kering Talk, Kering and the Center for Sustainable Fashion will reveal the 2016 Kering Award for Sustainable Fashion winners. The award will be given to one London College of Fashion student. The student will receive an internship at Stella McCartney and Brioni.

The Kering Talk will take place on November 14th, 2016 in London.
