Making its debut at the famous tennis tournament in London on Monday, the new Adidas by Stella McCartney Tennis collection will be the first time the British designer has created both men’s and women’s kit for a Grand Slam.

Men’s players including Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem and Stefanos Tsitsipas will also wear the environmentally-friendly range, which has been created using Dope Dye Technology to reduce water waste.

Adidas said the collection is made with recycled polyester and Parley Ocean plastic, a material created from upcycled plastic waste that was intercepted from beaches & coastal communities before reaching the ocean.

Seventeen pieces, including a court dress and a seamless zip tee, make up the collection. And a series of features such as laser cut holes and a tailored FreeLift construction enable a dynamic range of motion on court.

German tennis player Angelique Kerber, who won the Wimbledon women's singles title last year, said: “I’m ready to return to London and defend my title at Wimbledon, I just love the tradition of it. I am proud to be wearing the new adidas by  Stella McCartney Tennis Collection on court this year, it was created using technology which saves water waste and features fabrics which keep me cool and comfortable, really delivering on my dynamic performance needs.”

The Adidas by Stella McCartney Tennis collection will be available via Adidas and Stella McCartney’s online stores as well as on Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter from 24 June.
