Stone Island teams up with NikeLab

It was in 1978 that Nike's first apparel designer created the Windrunner jacket, which was revolutionary for its raglan sleeves and 26-degree chevron yoke.

For 2016, to celebrate "The Year of the Windrunner," NikeLab has poached Stone Island to explore the brand's fabric innovation, its engineering and garment dyeing techniques, and create an updated version of the iconic jacket together.

The NikeLab x Stone Island windrunner features Stone Island's water and wind-resistant Mussola Gommata fabric, as well as Stone Island's Nylon Metal fabric and PrimaLoft lining.

The collaboration also includes a special make up of the Nike Koth Ultra Mid SI sneaker-hiker hybrid, made in Nike water resistant materials and Stone Island’s Mussola Gommata. NikeLab x Stone Island will be available on December 17th at Stone Island flagship stores, Stoneisland.com, at selected NikeLab retailers and on nike.com/nikelab.
