Streetwear brand Kith launches original video series +KIN

Streetwear brand Kith has launched new video series called +KIN; a collection of taped interviews between founder and creative director Ronnie Fieg and friends and collaborators of the brand.

The first episode of the series features Americana designer Tommy Hilfiger, who called Kith "the next Supreme" earlier this week.

The video series' launch comes a day after Kith and Hilfiger announced their collaborative Fall/Winter collection, a set of over 50 styles featuring Kith's modern take on classic Hilfiger designs. The limited edition collection of apparel, footwear and accessories will come in two color stories, one a more traditional palette and the other a unique scheme by Fieg.

In the +KIN inaugural video, Fieg and Hilfiger each sport a pair of the new collection's shoes, both noteworthy releases. The Kith designer wears the updated edition of the Hilfiger Athletics Skew Basketball Sneaker, which was last released in 1996, while Hilfiger wears the collection's boots, a three-way collaboration between Kith, Tommy Hilfiger and Timberland. 

In conversation, the two designers discuss their mutual appreciation for thoughtful construction. "Items have to be special...value is a gift, it's that extra you get without paying more," Hilfiger says in the video. "This sneaker," he continues, pointing at Fieg's footwear, "is packed with value."

The Kith x Tommy Hilfiger collection will release this Saturday at all Kith shops and on Kith.com, and a second release  of two puffer jackets and the Timberland boots is set for later this year.
