Swedish outerwear company Stutterheim Raincoats this week opened its first US store in New York City.
The 275-square-foot store located at 232 Mulberry Street carries the brand’s full assortment of rainwear and rain accessories including the iconic Stockholm rubberized cotton coat, the Västertrop bomber jacket and Ture trench coat. Stutterheim Art Director Andreas Bergman designed the minimalist store in collaboration with Grant Blakeslee of the Bobby Redd agency, and the store is largely inspired by the brand’s Stockholm flagship store in the Södermalm area.
“As the U.S. is a very important market for us that continues to grow, opening our own store in New York feels like a natural next step for the brand. Most importantly we will be able to show everything we do in one space,” says Johan Loman, Partner and Marketing Director.
The Swedish outerwear brand was founded in 2010 and most recently expanded to the female market. The brand’s signature pieces are now offered in feminine silhouettes.
The Stutterheim New York City store is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 8pm, 12pm to 9pm on Saturday and 12pm to 8pm on Sunday.
