Supreme unveils temporary pop-up store in New York
Feb 22, 2019
In an Instagram post, streetwear brand Supreme announced that it has opened a pop-up shop at 190 Bowery, while its Lafayette Street store located in Downtown Manhattan is under renovation.
In the post, Supreme posted photos showing the pop-up's spacious store layout, featuring a wall of skateboard decks, as well as racks of t-shirts and other apparel. Like the brand's Tokyo store, the pop-up also features a sculpture by skateboarder and artist, Mark Gonzales. According to Complex, the temporary location is a former Germania Bank, and fitting rooms will be located in the former bank vaults.
The Lafayette Street store, Supreme's premiere brick-and-mortar location, made its debut in 1994.
As the brand gives its hometown location a facelift, Supreme hasn't stopped working on further expansion overseas.
According to an Instagram post from Italian fashion and culture publication Nss Magazine, the famous streetwear label will soon open a new location in Italy's fashion capital.
"@supremenewyork will be opening a new store in Milan very soon (probably during FW19/SS20 season) as indicated on the Supreme 'Metallic Jacquard' crewneck that was previewed in the SS19 lookbook yesterday!" the magazine wrote in a caption.
Currently, Supreme operates stores throughout Japan, Europe, and the U.S.
