Survey: Men in Quebec are champions at online shopping
Men in the province of Quebec are big online shoppers, according to the findings of a Leger survey for National Bank.
The survey, conducted on the Web between May 5 and 12, 2016, polled 1200 Quebeckers aged 18 and up.
The study found that 25 percent of respondents make more than 10 online purchases per year, while 44 percent of respondents shop online two to five times a year.
What’s more, close to half of respondents say the main advantage to shopping online is better prices. One in two of respondents say they have purchased fashion products in the last year such as clothing, footwear, jewellery and accessories.
The survey also found that shopping habits in Quebec varied based on regional variations. Respondents in Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec said they made online purchases of products made in Quebec or elsewhere in Canada because they are not available in stores in their region, while respondents in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and Côte-Nord said better prices are the primary reason for shopping online
