Susan Lucci debuts activewear line exclusively on QVC

Soap opera star Susan Lucci is launching a new eight-piece activewear collection this week on QVC. The line includes printed tights, tanks, tops, and hoodies. Lucci previously sold pilates equipment and videos on OVC.

In a release, Lucci explained of her new clothing line, "It’s appropriate for lunching with your friends, going to the shops, picking your children up from school and not missing a beat and traveling on a plane."

QVC describes the Susan Lucci Collection as having flattering and shaping silhouettes. The line includes bold colors and prints as well as more classic looks.

Lucci launched a pilates line ten years ago with HSN. That line was made by Fila and was designed to complement her endorsement of pilates equipment and videos on HSN. Lucci has since made the switch to QVC for her pilates marketing.

According to QVC VP of buying for apparel, accessories, beauty and jewelry, Rachel Ungaro, Lucci was involved in all stages of product development for the line, picking fabrics and approving final samples.

The inspiration for the collection came from Lucci's twenty-year commitment to practising pilates. She has been featured on air previously marketing workout videos and currently sells a pilates chair on QVC. Lucci also sells jewelry and fragrances.

QVC reaches 360 million homes. The new Susan Lucci activewear collection is slated to debut on QVC on Friday, April 13th.
