TFI New Labels Competition coming March 9

In celebration of the Toronto Fashion incubator’s (TFI) 30th anniversary, the annual New Labels Competition and Fashion Show will be part of a grand anniversary soirée. Baptized TFIXXX Gala, the event will take place on March 9 and will bring together TFI’s audience of over 700 tastemakers, fashion designers, philanthropists, stylists and industry insiders.
As well as celebrating the non-profit organization’s anniversary, the evening will also mark TFI’s New Labels Fashion Show’s 25th anniversary and the opening night of the inaugural Toronto Women’s Fashion Week.
The TFI New Labels event has been supporting new Canadian design talent for the last three decades. The competition will feature emerging Canadian designers in a national fashion design competition and runway show. Past winners include Sid Neigum, Sarah Stevenson, Matthew Gallagher and others.
What’s more, for its 30-year anniversary, the non-profit organization is upping its first prize winning from $25,000 to $30,000. Featured designers are still yet to be announced.

TFI is an award-winning non-profit organization. It was established in 1987 as the world’s first fashion incubator.
