TOMS to open first UK flagship store

Ethical footwear brand TOMS is opening its first flagship store and the first bricks and mortar store for the brand in the UK next month.

The company aims for all its stores to be Community Outposts, a hybrid of retail and community space, and the London store will feature wireless internet and encourage people to work remotely.

The store will sell footwear, sunglasses and, for the first time in Europe, optical eyewear. It will also offer the latest product to be added to TOMS' One for One ethos: handbags. The London location, on Carnaby's Foubert's Place, will cover two levels and feature a café, with TOMS Roasting Co. coffee and a full barista bar.

This is the second flagship store for the brand in Europe - the first one opened in Amsterdam last year.
