Global travel lifestyle brand TUMI on Monday announced the appointment of Michael Petry as its new Creative Director. Petry, a New York designer, will be responsible for the company’s strategic creative direction through proper branding, aligned messaging, and leadership on visual merchandising and store design.

The TUMI Boutique in Cannes.

"We are pleased to have Michael join the team and believe that his extensive experience in design, sales and marketing make him an ideal fit for TUMI, as we continue expanding the brand both domestically and internationally," said CEO and President, Jerome Griffith. 'We remain focused on delivering innovative, high-quality products to consumers, and Michael will be a driving force behind TUMI’s creative direction, bringing new styles and aesthetics to our product offerings."

Petry was formerly the Senior Vice President and Creative Director at The Frye Company since 2007. He will assume the role of Creative Director at TUMI on July 1st and officially replace its current consulting Creative Director, George Esquival, who joined the company in 2013.
