After having participated in campaigns for Nike in 2004, then later for Reebok after the World Cup in 2006, Thierry Henry will be able to test the quality of products from a new manufacturer.

The former captain of the French national team has just signed a multi-year partnership with Puma and is already wearing the Puma King Finale Boots for the friendly matches preceding the European football season.

By hiring the famous French striker, who currently plays for New York Red Bulls, PPR’s sports and lifestyle brand wishes to penetrate the football market in the United States, as well as to associate its image to a much-admired footballer, especially among Arsenal fans in England.

“Football is a priority for Puma. As a sportlifestyle brand with deep roots in soccer, there’s no better way for us to make a statement than with one of the most credible, talented and well-known players in the world”, said Jay Piccola, president of Puma North America.

Thierry thus joins the brand’s all-star portfolio of football players that includes Italian goalkeeper Gigi Buffon and Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o.
