Thom Browne is set to open his first retail location in the UK this spring. According to the press, the American designer will open a 1,200-square-foot store across the pond at 3 Albemarle Street, Mayfair in London.
In November, the brand opened a surf-themed pop-up shop at Dover Street Market in London, which marked as a precursor for the brand’s first freestanding store in the city. The UK store will join a number of global Thom Browne stores including locations in New York City, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and the Gyeonggi province in South Korea.
In 2016, Thom Browne hired former Alexander Wang CEO Rodrigo Bazan as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Under Bazan, Alexander Wang opened 26 global stores including a flagship store in Beijing. He was hired two months after Sandbridge Capital acquired Thom Browne from Japanese group Cross Company.
