Tiffany & Co enters Indian market with its first store in New Delhi
New York-based American luxury jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co has entered the Indian market with the opening of its first store in India.
Tiffany’s first store is located at the Chanakya Mall in New Delhi and spread over 2,600 square feet of retail space.
The store will house a full range of Tiffany’s iconic collections — from unique gemstones to superlative diamonds including Tiffany T, Tiffany Hardwear, Tiffany True, as well as its home & accessories collection. It will also have a private salon for its shoppers at the store.
“Tiffany & Co’s debut in India represents an important milestone for our iconic brand. As a global luxury jeweller with stores in many of the world’s most important cities, Tiffany’s emergence in New Delhi presents a unique opportunity, particularly given India’s growing luxury consumer base and passion for jewellery,” said Tiffany & Co’s chief executive officer, Alessandro Bogliolo, in a statement.
In August last year, Reliance Brands Ltd, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd had entered into a partnership with Tiffany & Co to bring the jewellery brand to India.
Tiffany & Co is one of the world’s largest luxury jewellery retailers with over 300 stores in more than 25 countries across the globe. It also has e-commerce websites in 14 markets.
