Tiffany releases bags by ex-bankrupt label Lambertson Truex

Published
Aug 27, 2010

September 1st will see the luxury jeweler release a collection of bags. Totes, clutches & shoulder bags were all created by a designer duo who became bankrupt in 2009 with label, Lambertson Truex whom then Tiffany preceeded to purchase.

Every piece in the A/W collection carries an element of the company's signature blue colour. Prices range from $395 - $17,500 and only available in the U.S..

Richard Lambertson and John Truex created the collection with an objective to give the products a unique identity. A USP is essential in this still unstable, crowded luxury market in which goods such as bags are particularly more sensitive. Tiffany & Co. has dealt up 'till now exclusively with jewellery, which is known to be bought as a classic timepiece rather than an ever-changing fashion accessory, like a bag.
