Tissot enters new NBA partnerships

Swiss watch brand Tissot, the official watch and timekeeper of the National Basketball Association, has announced a new partnership with NBA teams the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards for the 2018-19 season. 

The Swatch Group subsidiary will be represented in team marketing plans, in-arena creative and digital content within these relationships. 

As part of the partnership, Tissot becomes the official watch of each of the two franchises. Currently, the watch company counts the Spurs, the Knicks, the Warriors, the Cavaliers, the Bulls and the Lakers among its NBA partnerships. 

In addition, the brand also announced its partnership with three-time NBA Champion and four-time NBA All-Star Klay Thompson, top rookie Trae Young and a continued contract with long-time brand ambassador Tony Parker. The brand said these players will be featured in Tissot multimedia global campaigns, "support dedicated fan content and engagement and make appearances for the brand at special events throughout the season."

“Our partnership with the NBA has been very successful for us since its inception in 2015, helping to increase our brand awareness amongst NBA fans in the U.S., and we know these new alliances will continue to raise Tissot’s profile around the world.”

As part of its NBA partnership, Tissot has installed shot clocks and integrated timing systems in all 29 NBA arenas, a first in league history, "and ensure consistent timekeeping in each second of NBA game play," Tissot said.
