Tom Ford Beauty names Gong Yoo ambassador for APAC region

Tom Ford Beauty announced on Monday the appointment of Gong Yoo to the role of ambassador for its Asia-Pacific region.

The Estee Lauder-owned company said the Korean actor will partner with Tom Ford Beauty on upcoming campaigns spanning from fragrance to makeup.

Making his debut in August, Yoo will appear in the campaign for the brand's White Suede fragrance, a musk-inspired fragrance which also captures the notes of leather and suede.

"Tom Ford Beauty is redefining modern luxury for the 21st century and I am honored to be the new Asia-Pacific attaché," said Gong Yoo in a press release issued by the brand.

"I look forward to my new journey with the brand." 

Starting out his acting career in 2003, Gong Yoo is an acclaimed South Korean actor in both television and film. He rose to international fame with Train to Busan in 2016, and has since been nominated for numerous acting awards and received a prestigious "Baeksang Art Award" for Best Actor in 2017. 

He most recently starred in Netflix's The Silent Sea and Squid Game.
