Toronto Men's Fashion Week kicks off

Toronto Men's Fashion Week (TOM*) officially kicked off Saturday night with a launch party at Rebel night club in Toronto, followed by a VIP Runway Dinner on Sunday night with Canada’s fashion elite.
Runway shows will begin on Monday at Waterworks, the fashion events latest venue, that will be transformed into a runway space.
Kicking of the runway schedule, on Monday at 7pm, is Montreal menswear designer Joseph Helmer, followed by a showcase by Emerging Menswear Designer Award winner, Curtis Oland. Oland’s newest collection, "Visceral Architecture", will hit the stage at 8 m. Then, it’s the streetswear styles of Hip and Bone that will take the stage at 9pm, while David Kollar from Kollar will close day-one with a runway show scheduled for 10pm.
Montreal luxury outerwear designer Pascal Labelle will start day-two with a runway presentation. Next, TOM*s Celebrity Walk-a-thon, a charitable initiative baptized MensFashion4Hope, will take place. The runway show will feature the likes of fashion journalist, Glen Baxter, Artist Gary Taxali, Visual Artist & Gallery Owner, Just John and more as celebrity models. Then, Xian Wang’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection will hit the runway, followed by a final show by another outerwear brand, North Aware.
The final day of TOM* runway shows will start at 6 pm with designs by Kenneth Barlis, followed by designs from Toronto-based Filipino Fashion Designer Tristan Licud at 7 pm. Next, Shelli Oh will debut her second full menswear collection “Lucien” at 8 pm. Finally, TOM* designer veterans Zane Barlas and Jordan Erin McKay from Hendrixroe will close the show with runway shows scheduled for 9 pm and 10 pm respectively.
TOM* will be followed by the inaugural season of Toronto Women's Fashion Week (TW), which is set to take place March 9 to the 14.
TOM* is the eighth men's fashion week in the world and is the most influential platform in Canada for menswear designers and brands.
