Tranoï, Sphère, Man, and Welcome Edition: a look at the creative offerings of Parisian trade fairs and showrooms

Paris Men's Fashion Week, taking place from June 20 to 25, is a highly anticipated event. Alongside the main runway shows, the city hosts various trade fairs and showrooms that contribute to the fashion extravaganza. Each season, these events offer a curated selection of emerging labels and young designers, presenting their innovative and cutting-edge creations.

Tranoï, known for its previous editions at Palais de Tokyo and Garage Amelot, will return for its summer edition at Gaîté Lyrique in Paris from June 22 to 25. This year's session will feature around 60 contemporary labels showcasing their unique designs. Expect to see the artisanal reinterpretation of tweed by the South Korean label Camouflaged, the captivating embroideries of the Brazilian brand Handred, and an exploration of Portuguese fashion with Pedro Pedro, Huarte, and Estelita Mendonça. French brands will also be well-represented, including Ekivoc with their chic and minimalist sportswear pieces, as well as Armine Ohanyan's new collection of techno-couture, proudly made in Paris.

Sphère, a dedicated showroom for young designers and a strong supporter of the fashion of tomorrow, will take place at Palais de Tokyo from June 21 to 25. This summer edition will showcase seven emerging brands that have either been invited to the official fashion week calendar or have received recognition through awards. Among them, you can expect to discover Arturo Obegero's architecturally inspired designs influenced by surrealism, Jeanne Friot's gender-neutral and upcycled garments, and Valette Studio's unique approach to fluid and effortless constructions.

As the counterpart to the Woman trade fair, Man focuses on presenting a highly international selection of menswear brands. From the end of June, the salon will showcase around 30 Japanese labels such as Nanamica and Haversack, blending traditional textile heritage with workwear-inspired styles. Additionally, around 15 brands from North America, including Wythe with their vintage Western-style shirts and Korean labels like Tee Library, will contribute to the diverse lineup. Established French brands like Veja, Maison Labiche, and Armor Lux will also be present.

Welcome Edition, a renowned British showroom, is returning to the French capital from June 22 to 25, featuring an impressive roster of approximately 100 brands. Among the French participants, Noyoco and Venturon will present their relaxed and casual wardrobes. International exhibitors will include minimalist Japanese brand Jugem, denim enthusiast Momotaro Jeans, London-based eco-conscious studio Raeburn with their upcycled outdoor propositions, and Amsterdam-born label Welter Shelter, renowned for their functional and stylish silhouettes.
