True Religion Apparel, Inc. on Tuesday announced that it has promoted John Ermatinger to the position of CEO, effective immediately. Ermatinger was previously the Interim SVP of Global Sourcing and Production and replaces former CEO David Conn, who has chosen to step down from the role.
Before joining True Religion, Ermatinger served as CEO of Tommy Hilfiger, President of Gap, Inc., General Manager of Nike for Asia Pacific, and President of the Americas for Levi Strauss & Co. Now, as CEO of True Religion, he will build on initiatives that have been implemented since the brand's acquisition by TowerBrook in 2013 and usher the company into the next phase of development.
"I am impressed with all that True Religion has achieved since TowerBrook’s acquisition and I look forward to working with the company’s talented leadership and associates to further this success," said John Ermatinger.
John Anderson, Chairman of the True Religion Board of Directors, said: "John is a seasoned industry veteran who will lead True Religion towards more accelerated growth. His strong management skills, deep experience at leading apparel companies and appreciation for high quality product is the right combination to drive True Religion’s transformation forward."
True Religion, which designs, manufactures and distributes its own products, currently operates 138 stores in the US and 30 stores internationally.
