UK Abercrombie & Fitch stores get same-day delivery option

As consumer expectations of delivery times get more and more demanding, Abercrombie & Fitch has expanded its same-day delivery option to most of its UK stores.

That means 30+ branches that are able to fulfil orders from the Abercrombie & Fitch (including Abercrombie Kids), Hollister, Social Tourist and Gilly Hicks webstores.

The American company is working with logistics firms Stuart and Gophr, plus software specialist Delivery Solutions so that customers in certain postcodes can get their orders from its stores on the same day, a service it introduced in the US last October.

Shoppers can click on the Get It Fast button to identify items available for extra-speedy delivery or simply choose the same-day option at checkout.

The company said it’s part of its drive to address what customers want. And indeed, numerous studies of late have shown that consumers are ever-more-focused on fast delivery.

Larry Grischow, A&F’s executive VP for supply chain and procurement, said: “The additional speed offering has been resonating with customers in the US, especially those in high-density markets, since we launched last fall. This gave us the confidence to expand the offering to our customers in the UK, who we know are looking for more choices and faster delivery options.”
