Ulta Beauty to open new location in San Antonio, Texas

Retail Properties of America, Inc.—a real estate investment trust that owns and operates high-end shopping centers across the U.S.—just announced that Ulta Beauty has signed a lease to open an 8,000-square-foot store at Huebner Oaks center in San Antonio, Texas this fall.

The announcement of the new store aligns with Ulta Beauty’s goal of opening 100 stores following a positive fiscal 2016. An affordable one-stop shop for face, body and hair products of all kinds, the mega-chain is one of the largest beauty retailers in the United States. In an effort to keep up with the competition, the company is continually adding new brands to its offerings, such as the recent addition of E.l.f. Cosmetics.

The Hueber Oaks center is part of a cluster of  U.S. malls avoiding high vacancy rates despite store closures. The San Antonio, TX shopping center is at 99% capacity, home to stores such as Old Navy, REI, Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret and Gap.
