Under Armour (UA) is bringing its Brand House store concept to Western Canada for the first time ever.
The Baltimore-based sportswear brand opened the UA Brand House store on Thursday in a 6,849-square-foot space, at the West Edmonton Mall. The flagship retail store houses men’s and women’s apparel, and footwear collections, including the latest UA Rush and UA Flow apparel and gear.
The first UA Brand House came to Canada in October 2019 and opened at the Toronto Eaton Centre, with a unique retail experience tailored towards the Toronto market. The sportswear brand also operates a number of Factory stores across the country. Unlike its Factory stores, its Brand House locations stock the newest UA products and technologies, exclusive Brand House items, as well as signature lines like Curry and Project Rock.
To celebrate the store opening, shoppers will receive a free gift with every purchase, until December 19, including the chance to get a limited edition, custom local t-shirt.
Last month, Under Armour raised its annual revenue and profit forecasts, as people continue to seek comfortable casuals and athletic wear amid the Covid-19 pandemic. It currently expects 2021 revenue to increase about 25 percent.
Most recently, net revenue increased 8 percent to $1.55 billion in the third quarter ended September 30, beating estimates of $1.48 billion. On an adjusted basis, the company earned 31 cents per share, above estimates of 15 cents.
