The British Fashion Council said LFW will focus on “her incredible legacy” with her work not only changing the fashion industry, and “giving birth to and defining punk, but it also drove positive change globally”.

LFW brings together a line-up of 127 brands, with 104 physical activations and 41 digital ones taking place on schedule.

The physical aspect of the week includes 47 catwalk shows, 18 presentations, two appointments, and 37 other events.

Designer highlights this season will include Daniel Lee’s debut as creative director of Burberry and Moncler Genius’s public-facing show at Olympia, plus big draws such as Christopher Kane, Eredem, JW Anderson, Molly Goddard, Roksanda and Simone Rocha.

The week will also highlight the BFC NEWGEN designers, as well as the DiscoveryLAB emerging names who don’t yet meet the main schedule criteria.

Other key events during the five-day fashion week include it hosting Ukrainian Fashion Week on Tuesday 21 February. This will focus on three designers (Frolov, Kseniaschnaider and Paskal) in the NEWGEN space.
