As part of its Fashion in Motion series, London’s Victoria and Albert Museum has announced the presentation of four Christopher Raeburn shows on Friday 1 April at 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 20:00.

Open to the public, the catwalk presentations aim to show fashion in movement and will showcase key pieces from the designer’s collections in menswear, womenswear and accessories.

The V&A’s Acting Senior Curator of Fashion, Sonnet Stanfill said: “We are delighted to be showing highlights from Christopher Raeburn’s collections as part of Fashion in Motion. He presents luxury pieces with sustainable integrity.”

The British designer is a graduate of London’s Royal College of Art, and has been a three time winner of the UK Fashion and Textiles ‘Menswear Brand’ Award. Known for his directional approach to design, Raeburn was awarded the British Fashion Award for ‘Emerging Designer’ in 2011.

He recently collaborated with The Woolmark Company for his AW16 womenswear show and with Clarks on a footwear collection.

He said: “The Victoria and Albert Museum has always been an inspiration; whether it be memories from my childhood, studies at the neighbouring Royal College of Art or recent exhibitions, it has always been relevant. Having the opportunity to show our collections as part of Fashion in Motion is an absolute honour."

The V&A’s Fashion in Motion series has also featured influential designers Alexander McQueen, Christian Lacroix, Gareth Pugh, Jean Paul Gaultier, Missoni, Roksanda Ilincic, Vivienne Westwood and Yoji Yamamoto in its previous editions.

Tickets will be free, but early booking is advised.
