Valentino joins fellow luxury brands at Yorkdale Shopping Centre like Bottega Veneta and Van Cleef & Arpels, which also chose to enter Canada through Yorkdale.

The Valentino flagship spans over 4,600 square feet and houses both womenswear and menswear products including ready-to-wear, fragrance and more for the Valentino brand.

The store is arranged by product category where bags and other accessories can be found at the front of the store, while a shop-in-store area towards the middle of the store holds women’s footwear. The men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections can also be found in their own departments.

The boutique was designed by Valentino’s Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, in collaboration with David Chipperfield Architects. The design reflects the evolution of Valentino’s most recent store layout, which was first unveiled at a flagship in Milan in 2012.

Inside, the store is characterized by the use of grey Venetian terrazzo and palladiana – a brand trademark – along with other elements like oak, glass, velvet and soft carpets.

The Rome-based fashion company operates close to 200 stores internationally including 20 locations in North America.

Valentino is also available in Canada at some exclusive retailers like Nordstrom and Holt Renfrew
