Sep 12, 2016

Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) is back for its 28th season from September 19 to the 25, 2016, at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver.

The 7-day fashion event will feature over 100 runway shows highlighting trends for the Spring/Summer 2017 season.

“This season is set to be bigger and better than the last which is what gets us excited for every event we produce,” says Jamal Abdourahman, producer and founder of VFW, in a news statement. “We have grown this event into a large-scale fashion celebration that brings designers, fashion editors, buyers and top media from around the world. We are also proud to celebrate and launch the talents of local designers, who have always been such an important asset of fashion week.”

A number of established and emerging designers will hit the runway including Joseph Ribkoff, Lesley Hampton, Rickyy Wang, Kat Made, Casa Lefay and more.

Since the recently announced cancellation of Toronto Fashion Week and the annulment of Montreal Fashion Week, this will be one of the few fashion week events Canada will get for the season.

The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver is located at 50 East Pender Street.
