Vera Bradley signs off on design collaboration with Starbucks Asia

American luggage and handbag brand Vera Bradley has collaborated with Starbucks on a collection of exclusive drinkware and accessories which launched in the global coffeehouse chain’s Asia Pacific locations on May 7.

The limited-edition eight-piece collection features five Starbucks drinkware pieces, including a tumbler, a mug and a cold cup. The remainder of the collection is made up of a three-piece stationary offering, including a clipboard, a business card holder and a note cube.

All pieces feature classic Vera Bradley florals and paisleys in a palette of blues and sunset pinks that seeks to pay homage to colors seen in skylines around the Asia Pacific region.

“We are big fans of Vera Bradley’s colorful prints and are thrilled to work with their talented design team to bring bright and vibrant colors to our customers in Asia this summer,” said Michele Waits, VP for category and marketing at Starbucks Asia Pacific, in a release. “We are delighted to partner with modern lifestyle brands, like Vera Bradley, that align with our aspiration to bring a passion for fun and unique experiences to customers.”

“We are so excited to closely partner with Starbucks Asia Pacific to create a beautiful, unique and fun collection of products for their stores,” commented Vera Bradley CEO Rob Wallstrom. “This collection will help us expand our reach to a myriad of international customers and distribution points, and broaden our brand awareness to support a potential international expansion strategy.”

Indeed, Starbucks Asia Pacific currently operates more than 3,500 stores across 14 markets, an expansive network that represents an interesting opportunity for the American brand to gain exposure in an increasingly important region for luxury and fashion labels.

The Vera Bradley x Starbucks collection is now available to purchase at select Starbucks locations in the Asia Pacific region, including those in South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand and Vietnam.
