Feb 26, 2018
Co-founder and designer of contemporary beach lifestyle brand Amuse Society, Mandy Fry, announced she is leaving the four-year-old Orange County-based company to pursue personal projects.

Fry said in a statement, “The decision to leave did not come easily but I am ready for the next chapter in my life. I am looking forward to taking some personal time to refresh, realign my goals, and spend time with my family.'
Fry founded Amuse Society four years ago after an eleven year career in design at Billabong. In between Billabong and creating Amuse Society, Fry was the VP of Women's at Volcom, before starting her career as a swim designer for Quiksilver.
Paul Naude, one of the Amuse co-founders and head of Stokehouse Unlimited, which operates the Amuse brand, stated that Fry is taking time off to pursue other projects. He said that the brand is in a stable position with a strong team and that he expects it will maintain its "strong brand momentum... and [take] it to the next level in 2018 and beyond.”
Amuse Society was founded in 2014. It is sold online through its own site, through integrated social channels, and through surf and beach lifestyle retailers. Retail partners include The Buckle, Free People and Urban Outfitters.
