Victoria’s Secret opens first store in Mumbai

Lingerie and beauty retailer Victoria’s Secret has entered the city of Mumbai by partnering with Mumbai Duty Free for the launch of its first store at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, in Terminal 2.
 

The store will house a range of best-selling and newly launched beauty products, sleepwear, apparel, and accessories. Additionally, the store will also offer functional accessories like cosmetic cases, bags, luggage, keychains, and passport covers.
 
The Mumbai store has proven popular with customers since its launch and the brand is expecting strong in-store sales in the coming months.

Commenting on the new store launch, PK Thimmayya CEO at Flemingo Travel Retail Limited, which operates Mumbai Duty Free, said in a statement: “We’re very excited to be the first ones to introduce this iconic brand to Mumbai city. This year, we have strategically focused on building our fashion and luxury portfolio and the addition of Victoria’s Secret is a step in that direction.
 
“Since the store launch, we have experienced a huge interest in the brand from customers and the initial response is very promising. We are confident that this initiative is an absolute winner and has the potential to deliver great numbers,” Thimmayya added.

Flemingo Travel Retail operates around 17 stores at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai.
